The Southeastern Microscopy Society (SEMS) is a professional scientific organization that brings together microscopists from the life, medical, and physical sciences to advance research and discovery through the use of microscopy and related methodologies. Serving members throughout the southeastern United States, SEMS is a Local Affiliate Society (LAS) of the Microscopy Society of America (MSA) and an Affiliated Regional Society (AReS) of the Microanalysis Society (MAS). The SEMS community includes university students, faculty, and staff; scientists from the private sector and government; and microscopy vendors, creating a diverse network dedicated to exploring the frontiers of science through microscopy.
