Empowering Microscopy Through Membership

The purpose of SEMS is to promote and advance the understanding of microscopy. Its members share a common interest in the biological and physical sciences, with particular focus on light microscopy, electron microscopy, and microscopical analysis. Each year, SEMS hosts an annual meeting featuring invited speakers, contributed papers and posters, as well as commercial exhibits showcasing the latest in light and electron microscopy, along with related instruments and supplies.
